When we grow-up...

I have been working a little up at St. Joe's hospital, where Cameron works. The other day we had our lunch breaks together and he took me up to the helicopter pad that is on top of the whole hospital. It has an awesome view of downtown!
I really love my job as a Labor & Delivery Nurse.
It's not always easy trying to balance everything with the girls but I feel really fortunate that I work in the area I do. I love working with families and I still get teary eyed at every delivery!!! I have been working alot with some ladies who are in pre-term labor (most of them with twins) at the hospital and some of them have been there for 20+ days and will be there til they deliver I don't know how they keep their sanity! It is fun to get to know them...they are fun, amazing, strong women. SO...I can't really recall WHEN I knew I wanted to be a nurse (most definalty by my senior year in high school) but I do remember that through middle school I kept telling my family I wanted to be:
A marine biologist and work in the BioSphere.
(google it and you will laugh out loud at me)
SO my question for you all is: What funny things did you think you wanted to do when you "grew-up" or is there anything else you want to be when you "grow-up"???

P.S. Notice the nets surrounding the outside...freaked me out a bit.

I wanted to swim with the dolphins at Sea World. And I think its precious that you cry at every delivery, even though some of your patients probably think you are a little loony:)

Ok Tracie I am changing that to teary eyed because I'm already loony and I don't need to add to it! Luv ya! Cam

How fun that you and Cameron work at the same hospital. That is a sweet view. When I was younger I wanted to be a hairdresser because I loved to use scissors:) Love, the other Kami

How fun that you guys can see eachother throughout the day! Seriously, you are an amazing woman to be able to be a mom and nurse! As far as jobs...for some reason I wanted to be a chef??? Let me just tell you that it hasn't even come close to come to past. Lately Jonathan feels lucky if I throw a frozen lasagna in the oven for dinner!!

So I love that you are a labor/delivery nurse. Actually, all through high school that is what I planned on doing - I went to BYU and took all the pre-med classes, switched back and forth with the idea of doing med school, or doing nursing --- and funny thing is -- I am an accountant - got my Masters from BYU last April and work for Bank of America as financial analyst in Real Estate Dept. Go figure -- who would have guessed -- I always liked math, but never planned on taking that route. I also got super into Ballroom dancing at BYU (joined the team and competed and all) and love that. I think if I could do what I really want to do when I grow up I would go to hair school, run a ballroom dance studio and teach at it, become a real estate agent(actually am working on this one right now), and do some interior decorating, as well as be a dress designer ------ so what it pretty much comes down to is I like a LOT of different things, and still haven't decided which 1 i really want to pursue....HELP!

Cami, You are so gorgeous. I am jealous you get to work near your husband. I wanted to be a Flight attendant. I don't think it would have worked out though. I would have had to duck my head while giving people their peanuts and drinks. I guess I'll settle for being a mom. :)
