"listing"...

35 weeks...most people call it "nesting", i call it LISTING. i'm all about lists and this pregnancy has really cranked it up a notch. i luv them & i think they luv me. ive been getting so much done...or maybe i shouldn't say "i" completely. my sister emily flew in this past weekend and conquered most of my "before the baby arrives list". from cleaning out the girls closets to hanging drapes to cleaning under my sink & through all my kitchen cabinets to getting the babies room ready to cooking the weekend meals...i couldn't be more grateful. she truly spoiled me. i talked to emailed her this morning and said "now all i have nothing to do but sit here and gain weight" :)

i first learned how to quilt before savannah was born by a sweet, amazing lady at my church...carolyn. it has become an obsession ever since. here is little baby girl's quilt i made..."Grandmother's Diamonds"

finished my Sun Bonnet Sue quilt for vannah & lucy

my friend jocelyn threw me a little breakfast bash this past friday for the babe! it was really sweet and my friends stocked me up on diapers, baby wash, and all those essentials. luved having jess & em there. really sweet.

DENVER in the SPRING...snowing & chilly...seriously two days later...

sunshine & barbie sunbathing

byu girlies...these are me & my sister's shirt from when we were young. they are geting excited for the baby...lucy has defiantly kicked it up a notch and knows "something is up". she keeps telling me how big my belly is and her attitude continues to amaze..."your breathe stinks, pee-uuuu"

cam has been m.i.a. this month working all night shifts. he made up for it, jam packing this past saturday with...monsters vs. aliens, swimming at the rec center, lunch at McD's.

ps...a note from my last post...i must not be that "cranky" of a nurse, a patient sent me flowers a week ago at work, ha ha!...8 shifts left until my due date.

fans...and doughnuts

when i was home last, my friend lindsay took some super cute pics of the girls when i was up visiting at her house...thanks lin, i luv em.

savannah & ellie...they were born about 6 weeks apart and are best of friends. when they are together they are so silly...going on "trips to mexico", running book stores, and discussing if what poppy said about the crying police is really true.

*little laughs...
~ lucy's latest: to politely inform everyone when she is going to the bathroom "i going potty now, don't worry i turn on the fan."
~ savannah's latest: the other day i had made dinner & got to the end and realized i was missing a couple ingredients. so i had to run to the grocery and savannah came with me. i was on a mission to get in and get out, plus im a little (okay maybe alot) pregnant and it was the end of the day, so i was done...you feel me right? so we booked it over to the bread section to get some french bread and savannah goes, "look mom, they have doughnuts here...can we get a doughnut...i want a doughnut...do you want a doughnut...look at those doughnuts!" and of course me the ever patient and wise mother, i respond "do you want your butt to be big?" and she, the ever endearing & luving daughter replies...with much thought and concern "oh....like yours?" teary eyed, i booked it out of the bread section.
~ everyone in our house has been singing along to the new hannah montana movie soundtrack (don't try to deny it cam.)
~ i am 33 weeks and obsessed lately with cinnamon toast.
~ i worked yesterday and my nursing friend told me..."you wanna hear a funny story" sure i thought. she said i took over on a patient of yours a couple days ago and she was talking about her nurse (me) and my friend asked her "what was her name?" and the patient replied, "i can't remember...but she was pregnant, blonde, and really cranky." lol!

~ A sure way to start the day on a sugar high
~ Getting to open gifts first thing in the morning
~ Tradition...I'm so thankful for a mom who made my birthday's such a special day! I luv birthday's because I think it is a perfect day to remember why someone is important in your life and to look back on the year...the things they have accomplished, how they have changed, and why they mean so much to you.

5 reasons this year's Barbie Pool & Pizza Party rocked:

~I didn't have to cook, got a sparkle toe pedicure, & rested!
~ My sister Emily. She is the best friend, a true, loyal friend. She took me our for dessert at Magelby's one night...I didn't even really want to go but I thought "chocolate cake I'm in, right." Low & behold...a group of my really good friends came to surprise me, along with mom & the great LaRae. They surprised me with super cute little baby girl gifts & it really made my whole trip. I haven't been feeling that good and with it being #3, it seems to be more on the down-low...it really lifted my spirits & got me alot more excited for little miss to come in may! Thanks Em, you really are the very best.
~ Shopping at all the little places in Utah County that are unique & fun, spending too much money on hairbows.

FIRST time for everything....

FIRST: Our friends, Jeff & Mindy, invited us to their annual St. Patty's Day party (Jeff & his friend Jay both served missions in Ireland...so it has become one of their traditions). We knew we had to come hard or go home, but we had know idea what to dress-up as. So Cam went as a weird, crazy Irish hoop player, and I went as the Octo mom on St. Patty's Day...yes, I'm disturbed & if you look closely you will see Cam defiantly needs some sleep. The party was a blast...yummy food, hilarious games, and we were pumped to be part of the action! Thanks Lind's! Irish & Luvin' It.

FIRST: Lucy sliced her hand Sunday morning with one of my craft tools. Vanny brought her upstairs crying and her hand covered in blood. I put some tissue on it and had Vanny hold pressure on it while I went to get some bandaging supplies from the closet. When I came back, I took back over from Vanny and then Vanny said, "Okay, I'm headed into the other room to say a prayer for Lucy, she really needs it."

FIRST: Vannah's first sewing lesson. I finally pulled out my quilting project that I had left over from San Diego...my Sun Bonnet Sue fabric & pattern. I can never start a new project without finishing an old...so before I get to the baby's blanket, I'm working on this one. It is super cute & fun, but a little challenging. Savannah is obsessed with sewing, so when Lucy takes her nap...we've been going to town on the sewing machine.

FIRST: A grown man on the top of a bunkbed with his girls reading Fancy Nancy, classic.
A few additional FIRST...
*Hate to admit but I've been watching alot of tv with this pregnancy. I mostly watch stuff I DVR because I usually fall asleep at 6pm, ha ha! So in the morning, the girls usually jump in bed with me and I will turn on some cartoons until I can force myself out of bed. The other morning, Lucy came...got all snuggled in with me...I grabbed the remote to turn on the tv and she turned to me and said as clear as day, "No American Idol, okay momma?!?!"
*Finding about 20 empty Yoplait yogurt cartons behind the stairs in the basement...where Savannah has been "pretending the garbage can is". um, okay.
*Getting ready to celebrate Savannah's 5th birthday this week...can't believe she will be 5... we are having a swim party at the Rec Center & she is slightly pumped!

i don't know where you're from...

*NEW YORK CITY*

We had a crazy fun trip to NYC this past weekend. Me & my sister Emily surprised Cam & Matt with Duke basketball tickets to play St. John's at Madison Square Gardens (a good excuse to visit the Big Apple!). Thus began our adventures...we saw so much in 3 and half days, it's kinda weird!

Here's to...a Blue Devils Victory, seeing Bobby Knight, Madison Sq Gardens, ESPN Zone in Times Square, Gyros & Falafel at Pick a Pita, Starbucks Carmel Apple Cider, the Gray Line Hop on Hop Off bus, dinner at Gonzalez! Gonzalez!, Magnolia bakery, Empire State Building, our hotel the New Yorker, a horse drawn carraige ride around Rockefeller & Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, to Soho / "Noho" / & "House-tin"

...to Cam "I'm going to try something new at every meal" YEP those are Chinese Beef Crepes from Big Wong's...lesson learned, he was sick the entire next day. disgusting. to CHINATOWN (seriously my least favorite) : warm pee tea, questionable bathrooms, "I'll give you $5 bucks for it" "Aw shee....I buy for you!!!" and I've never seen people slurp Chinese food like that, I'm not sure I'll ever eat Chinese again.

...to shopping and Century 21 and finding some super cute purses "fashion worth fighting for!"

to...my red coat in every picture and I swear the reason people kept saying I was from out of town (sorry it wasn't black for you locals!!!), to the boys mastering subway travel & to those big subway rats, to our tour guide: "you don't even know if those hotdog vendors be washin their hands" or "after you hear the first knock, you got two minutes to get your money back...I know I been involved in 5 raides"...um, okay

to Matt asking a lady at a little pizza joint for a refill & to the lady who went seriously off on him: "boy, I don't know where you from, but we don't give refills in Manhattan"...and Matt "um, okay lady here's two bucks, can I just get another coke?"

to our AWESOME TV & Movie site tour! This was a highlight! A tour guide took us around to a bunch of different locations shot in show & movies such as: Seinfeld, the Cosby's, Friends, Sex in the City, Gossip Girls, & Law and Order....to I am Legend, Spiderman, Men in Black, Hitch to name a few. It was so fun and our tour guide (who was a "local actor" was comical)..."I hate to disappoint you all...but no Friends was not actually filmed in this building" "Oh if Katherine (Heigel) knew I was showing you this clip, she'd just kill me" "Hold your breath....they did use CGI (computer generated imagery) to create this scene people".

to the Ground Zero Museum & Workshop...it is run by Gary Suson who was the only photographer allowed to take pictures during the recovery effort. It was truly an amazing experience to see all the private images & artifacts...history.

to the Friends building...

to cold, bitter cold New York wind (I luved how people kept saying "oh, you're from Denver, it's gotta be freezeing there" um H-no compared to NYC peeps)...to Broadway and TKTS, we luved Momma Mia!, to watching a guy propose to his girlfriend while ice skating on the rink in Rockefeller, to leaving our hotel at 8:30am and not getting back til midnight, to getting told off, to travel & adventures with best friends, to my feet pulsing & probably gaining 10lbs in water weight (retention people), to my sweet sister Lindsey who came in from Salt Lake to watch Vannah & Lucy - you are the best!, to lots of black & minimal sun exposure, to New York accents & way of life...
